Influenced by Lin Fengmian and Li Keran, his exlibris works reflect traditional Chinese painting through expressive ink techniques. His landscape paintings often depict turbulent clouds and mist, capturing a sense of ambiguity and depth. Choi's appreciation for nature is profound, embracing dreams with reverence.

According to the book "Carved Exlibris in Europe 1950-1970," published in London in 1972, nude and erotic exlibris accounted for 30% of the total in 1970, reflecting a similar interest in erotic art seen among ancient Chinese literati. This genre is particularly prevalent in Europe, with contemporary Japanese master printmaker Munakata Shiko also favoring nudes in his exlibris. Recently, there has been a surge in nude exlibris in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, with He Shaozhong gaining notable success in this area.
